Shipping policy

This policy applies to printers.ke, operated by Inklight Printers Limited (trading as “Printers KE”), a company registered in the Republic of Kenya.

 

At Printers KE, we work hard to get your copiers, printers, toner, and consumables to you on time and in perfect condition. This policy explains how we handle shipping, what to expect after placing an order, and what to do if something goes wrong in transit.

 

1. Where We Deliver

We deliver to all 47 counties across Kenya. Whether you are in Nairobi’s CBD or upcountry, we will work to get your order to you through our courier network.

We do not currently ship outside Kenya.

For bulk orders, large-format equipment (e.g. commercial copiers or wide-format printers), or deliveries to remote areas, please contact us in advance so we can arrange the most appropriate shipping method.

 

2. Delivery Timelines

Estimated delivery times from the date your order is dispatched are as follows:

         Nairobi CBD and suburbs — 1 to 2 business days.

         Major towns (Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret) — 2 to 4 business days.

         Other counties and towns — 3 to 6 business days.

         Remote or hard-to-reach areas — 5 to 8 business days. Please contact us in advance so we can plan delivery.

Business days refer to Monday through Saturday, excluding Kenyan public holidays. Timelines are estimates and may vary due to courier capacity or unforeseen circumstances.

 

3. Shipping Costs

         Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size or weight of your order.

         Large or heavy items such as printers, copiers, and multifunction devices may attract additional handling charges due to their size and packaging requirements.

         Free delivery promotions may be offered from time to time and will be clearly communicated on the website or via email and SMS.

If you are unsure about shipping costs for a specific item or bulk order, get in touch and we will give you an accurate quote before you commit.

 

4. Order Processing

         Orders placed and paid for before 2:00 PM on a business day are typically processed and prepared for dispatch the same day.

         Orders received after 2:00 PM, or on weekends and public holidays, will be processed on the next available business day.

         Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation notification with delivery details by email or SMS.

         Processing times may be slightly longer during peak periods or for items requiring special packaging.

 

5. Our Delivery Partners

We work with a network of reliable courier partners to ensure safe and timely delivery. Depending on your location and order type, fulfilment may be handled by:

         Fargo Courier

         G4S Courier Services

         Sendy Logistics

         Authorised local riders (for Nairobi deliveries)

Where available, tracking information will be shared with you once your order has been collected by the courier.

 

6. Delivery Address Guidelines

To avoid delays, please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate. A good delivery address should include:

         Your full name and an active phone number reachable on the day of delivery.

         Building name, estate, floor number, or office suite (where applicable).

         Street name or road, and the nearest landmark.

         Town or county, especially for deliveries outside Nairobi.

We are unable to accept responsibility for delivery failures or delays arising from inaccurate or incomplete addresses. Additional charges may apply for re-delivery attempts.

 

7. Missed or Failed Deliveries

         If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, our team or the courier will contact you to reschedule at a convenient time.

         Depending on the courier, a second delivery attempt or a pickup arrangement may be offered.

         If a parcel remains uncollected or undeliverable after reasonable attempts, it will be returned to us. Re-delivery charges may apply.

         If delivery cannot be completed after multiple attempts and you decline to reschedule, the order will be cancelled and refunded in full, less any non-recoverable courier costs.

 

8. Items Damaged in Transit

We package all orders carefully, but if your item arrives visibly damaged:

1.       Do not sign for or accept the delivery if the packaging is clearly compromised — note the damage with the courier on the spot.

2.       Report the damage to us within 48 hours of receipt, including your order number and clear photographs of the damaged packaging and product.

3.       We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost once the damage is verified.

Photos of the outer packaging and the item itself are very helpful and speed up the resolution process.

 

9. Unforeseen Delays

While we do our best to meet all estimated delivery windows, some situations are outside our control — including severe weather, road closures, public holidays, and courier disruptions. In such cases, we will communicate any known delays to you as promptly as possible.

If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us and we will investigate on your behalf.
